The foundations of Aphom were built from direct experience inside community pharmacy. One of our founders, Richard Addy grew up within the pharmacy sector, leading a pharmacy group built on decades of family expertise. The other, Anirudh Rajesh began his career in pharmacy operations — developing a reputation for questioning inefficiencies and exploring how pharmacy technology could genuinely improve healthcare delivery.

Together, they kept observing the same problem: community pharmacies across the UK and Ireland were being asked to do more than ever — supporting patients, delivering clinical services, reducing pressure on primary care — while still running on disconnected systems and manual processes that ate into their time and profitability.

The challenge wasn't a lack of commitment or expertise. The pharmacy software and tools available simply hadn't evolved at the same rate as the demands being placed on pharmacy teams.
